Immanuel Lutheran was organized in 1891 as a member of the Norwegian Synod. The first sanctuary was built in 1893. A schoolhouse was built in 1906. Parochial classes for the lower grades were held until 1924. The parsonage was built in 1918. The schoolhouse was moved to the church grounds to become a parish hall in 1942.
